  • Signing up with PRNewswire’s ProfNet and/or www.helpareporter.com - what are they and how can the help get media coverage
  • Media releases ­ what are they, how often they should be sent out, to whom should they be sent, how should they be sent
  • Print versus electronic ­ is one better than the other, how to judge for yourself
  • Newsletters, blogs ­ deciding what is right for you and your book(s)
  • How helping others can help you

About the Speaker:

Kate Bandos has worked with hundreds of publishers and authors, and dealt with a wide array of media people during her more than 35 years in publishing. Since the formation of KSB Promotions in 1988, she has primarily helped independent publishers garner media exposure. Kate is also a regular presenter at the IBPA University.

In just the past six months, her clients have been written up in newspapers and magazines both nationally and regionally, including Redbook, Parents, USA Today, Christian Science Monitor, Associated Press, and Newshouse News Service; appeared on radio stations across the country; and gotten online exposure at both major and minor sites including SmartMoney.com, About.com, BellaOnline, Suite101, and ReadingTub.
