PUBLISHING UNIVERSITY 2008 AT BOOK EXPO AMERICA - May, 2008

PMA presents information-packed seminars developed and lead by industry leaders, who share ideas and applications you can use in your day-to-day business to assist you in improving and enhancing the profitability of your publishing company. The 2008 Publishing University and BEA are in Los Angeles, CA this year and Publishing University will be held at the Wilshire Grand Hotel.

BENJAMIN FRANKLIN AWARDS
The PMA Benjamin Franklin Award recognizes excellence in independent publishing. Awardees are recognized at a gala event at Book Expo America.

PMA PUBLISHING UNIVERSITY ONLINE
In a continuing effort to provide educational opportunities for members and others, Publishing University Online has been created to offer live web-based seminars in four key areas: Legal, Production, Marketing, and Business Organization

BESTSELLER AWARD PROGRAM (currently offline for maintenance)
Recognizing the need for a “Gold Record” within the publishing industry, PMA, the Independent Book Publishers Association announced the IBPA Bestseller Awards Program. The award will be the first of its kind to acknowledge significant levels of a title’s sales achievement in a standard and measurable form.
